Now that haunt season has arrived, I will be posting a blog about my favorite maze or part of every haunt type event I go to.
On Sunday my very dear friend and I went to Knotts Scary Farm. It was so much fun. We splurged on the Skeleton Keys, which is basically a front of the line pass but it also unlocks a secret room in 5 of the mazes at the park. My absolute favorite maze of the night had an extra room. If you can afford it, I totally encourage you to go for it.
My favorite maze of the whole night was Gunslinger’s Grave. It was so different from the mazes I’m used to. It was like magically being transported into an old western movie. It had a very solid storyline that was very enhanced by the room that the skeleton key unlocked. The talent definitely brought their A game. Going on a sunday night, I was expecting them to slack a little. There was so many actors in there who I thought were static props. They scared me very well. I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone. Just trust me when I say this is definitely one of Knotts’s better new mazes.
I’d also like to address going on sunday nights. In the past, I’ve noticed that the talent is not quite 100% on sundays because (or so I think) crowds are lighter. On my last visit, everyone in the park was amazing. Street talent was on point. Shout out to the boardwalk clown who was giving himself a manicure! After last year’s disappointment, I am so happy to be able to say I had such a good experience this year!
