Christmas is over.

And I got a lot of makeup and nail type products. So I will be posting reviews as I use them.

I’ll start with the Urban Decay Naked on the Run palette. I am in love with this set. It was only until recently that I’ve become a fan of the more subtle, natural look and with this set it’s so easy to achieve. it has 3 shimmery shadows, two matte, a nice highlight shade, a bronzer, a blush, mascara, eyeliner, and lipgloss. I’ve used everything except the lipgloss. I will always love Urband Decay eyeshadows. The shades in this set are so light and natural looking. I’m really digging it. I think the major appear of the palette is the convenience. It has everything you need for your face minus primer, foundation, and concealer in one convenient case. I love everything in it.

Here is everything that comes in the set. Mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss, two matte and 3 shimmer eyeshadows, shimmery highlight eyeshadow, bronzer and blush

Here are the swatches.

bronzer on the left and blush on the right. I like it the bronzer much better on my face.

A very dear friend of mine spent Christmas with my family and I. He used to work at the Bobbi Brown counter at Macy’s so he’s very into those products. He gave me the long wear metallic cream eye shadow in the color galaxy  (which is not currently on the site) and I have to say I am in love with it. I used it as an eyeliner and it is gorgeous! It’s this very shimmery metal type color. The pigmentation is great.  I had it on all christmas day and it didn’t smudge a bit. It makes me feel like a beautiful space queen.

Now moving on from the face to the nails. I found nail wraps that I like from Espionage Cosmetics while I was at the Comikaze convention during Halloween. They have all sorts of nerd type prints. The first set I put on successfully was their cat nail wraps. It was my first time so it was a bit sloppy but they stayed on for quite a long time and at $10 for a set of 12, they’re totally worth it. It lasted longer than a regular manicure does on my nails and was half the price. I had them on for 11 days before they started chipping. Also, they have a huge selection of nerdy fandom based nail wraps. Something for every beauty nerd!

With second my second set of Espionage Cosmetics Nailed It nail wraps, I decided to put them on impress presson nails (which I’ve reviewed before. Highly suggest using them) because when I put them directly on my own nails they looked sloppier than I would have liked which I am highly confident was due to user error. They looked so much neater on the press on nails, and as easy as they were to put on my own nails, they were infinitely easier to put on press on nails and then put the nails on my own nails. The nail wraps have also been proving to last longer with that method.

In my Christmas Stocking, I got a set of Beautifully Disney Haunted Mansion nail wraps. I’ve only applied these to the press on nails but based on that alone, I really do not like them. They’re way thicker than the nail wraps I’m used to. It’s like putting a vinyl sticker on. The designs are amazing though.
