Sometimes cute packaging sucks you in and it’s a win.

I’m on a roll!! Posting two days in a row?! This is unheard of lols

Anyway yesterday I went to Ulta with my little sister and as we were waiting to pay for the things (I repurchased the Stila one step corrector and Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade in case you wanted to know what I got lol) the lure of the impulse buy section was too strong to resist. I’ve been eyeing the Doctor Lip Bang’s Lip Freak lip balm for a while.  It’s advertised as “the strongest BUZZING lip balm in the world.” Totally raised my curiosity. The fact that I just love the look of the packaging didn’t help me resist much either.

I put it on as soon as I got to my car out of morbid curiosity. I was expecting some like hell fire lip plumping type sensation.

I mean, look at the packaging?? It’s got some hella cute, kooky, spooky, creepy, old timey circus vibes. Naturally I expected the worst but I must say, I was pleasantly surprised.

It’s just a clear lip balm in the berry sinister scent, which I must say is delightful. It smells like something from Lush that I can’t quite put my finger on but it’s so good! It also feels very moisturizing without being too sticky, which I find is an issue with lip balms for me.

Now let’s talk about the best part: the buzzing. Like I said, I was expecting some lip plumper type hell fire but I was pleasantly surprised. It literally felt like there were tons of tiny invisible bees buzzing on your lips. It was actually a very pleasant sensation. The buzzing lasts for quite a while too. It’s not advertised as a lip plumping product, so if that’s what you’re looking for, I suggest the Too Faced’s products. However, it’s just a fun lip balm that feels good, smells good, and has super cute packaging.

I’m a sucker for gimmicky stuff like this. What do you guys thing? Are you brave enough to try it?
