So I’ve been wearing perfumes and recording my thoughts on the scent and how it wears for a while now. Yeah, I’m that kind of blogger. I’m going to be changing the format of my perfume roulette series. Instead of posting a tiny update about a single perfume daily, I will be posting a week worth perfumes once a week. My plan is to post these on tuesdays.
Keep in mind, this is just how it wears on me, to me. Everyone’s skin chemistry is slightly different so even if you try these same perfumes, they may smell different to you.
Here are this week’s
Dolce by Dolce and Gabbana
The sephora website describes it as a mix of white flowers. white amaryllis, neroli leaves, white water lily, and white daffodil. I found it to be a very light floral. The longer I wore it, the sweeter it smelled.
Citrine by Nest Fragrances
The website describes Citrine as having notes of lotus, freesia, citrus, and woods. I found it to be a fresh citrus scent with very subtle floral notes. As I wore it throughout the day it got sweeter and the floral notes became more pronounced. The citrusy scent faded into the background.
Nirvana White by Elizabeth and James
Its described having notes of peony, muguet, and musk. I absolutely love the Nirvana perfume line and this one might be my favorite. It’s a very unique floral. I have never smelled anything like it. I don’t know how else to describe it except as a unique take on a floral. The musk really makes it for me. It got more musky the longer I wore it.
Miss Dior by Dior
I love this one. It smells very sweet and feminine to me. The longer I wore it s smelled almost baby powdery. It’s described as have notes of mandarin essence, rose absolut, and patchouli, which are all scents I love on their own, so no wonder I love this one so much.
Baiser Vole by Cartier
This one also felt very feminine to me. It was very sweet and floral. It has notes of lily petals.
Daisy by Marc Jacaobs
I’m not sure how else to describe this one except as it smells like spring to me. It’s very floral and bright. It has notes of strawberry, violet leaves, jasmine, and white woods.
Play by Givenchy
This is another one that I absolutely love! I’ve had this roller ball for so long and I’m not quite sure why I haven’t worn it much sooner but I am so glad I did. It has a very warm and slightly earthy smell to me. It reminds me a lot of brown sugar. It has notes of bergamot, mandarin orange, bitter orange, grapefruit, amyris wood, black pepper, coffee flower accord, vetiver, and patchouli.
And this is why I decided to do this series of blog posts! I have acquired so many roller balls, and perfume samples over time that I have forgotten which ones I love. This is a great way to remind myself of that and share with you guys!
